Welcome
I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in December, 2001 from Nanjing University, China. My Ph.D. advisors were Professor Li Xie and Professor Zhongxiu Sun. Before I became an assistant professor in 2004, I had been a postdoctoral research associate at Professor Peng Liu's Cyber Security Lab at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park.
I am a Professor of Computer Science and Associate Dean in the School of Natural and Social Sciences at Lehman College, CUNY. My work spans computer science, cybersecurity, data science, academic program development, accreditation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. I have served in faculty and administrative roles including department chair, inaugural chair, endowed chair professor, cybersecurity center director, program director, and accreditation reviewer. In academic service, I am interested in curriculum development, student success, accreditation, research capacity building, and partnerships that support faculty and students.
My research interests include computer systems, security, and AI.
